Situated at the end of a private mews, this stand alone building occupies a quiet enclave in the heart of Barnes in south west London. This proved an ideal studio/workshop for the artist/client.

The original building was demolished and its steel portal frame and perimeter walls retained. A new, light-filled studio occupies the first floor comprising a large north facing skylight and picture windows addressing the surrounding woods. Light permeates down either side of the studio to illuminate the ground floor office and workshop.

The internal walls are painted white and polished concrete floors are heated. Externally, the building is clad in cedar.
