The rear of this five storey house and south-east facing garden were remodelled to include a new two storey glazed extension to accommodate and celebrate a large painting.
A series of gently sloping roofs start from a bay window at first floor and fall to garden terrace level and are punctuated by large glazed panels. The double height void allows for much improved internal organisation and natural light and integrates dining area and living room to ground and lower ground levels.
The main roof is finished in zinc and the vertical side cheeks adjacent to the party wall are of riven grey slate panels which extend down to end as cantilevered slate eaves to the lower roof.
